Blend Cafe

Blend Cafe is a cute new cafe in downtown Durham’s Golden Belt. The specialty here is custom pressure-blended frozen yogurt, but they also serve a mighty fine sandwich. The rustic decor matches the historic look of the refurbished tobacco warehouse.

I tried the Bull City Bruchetta on my visit, which comes with a small portion of homemade apple pear sauce. The paninni contained local prosciutto & Holly Park goat cheese w/house made herb spread & tomato. While the service was a little slow and the slices of bread a little thin, the food was delicious. For the price, the quality of the food is excellent. I would definitely get the apple sauce again with my next sandwich.

The Laurens both tried some of the lentil soup, which was ‘good’.
The kicker really was the frozen yogurt. Unfortunately, I dont have a tempting photo of the yummy yogurt bursting with fruit. We picked cherries and raspberries and they custom pressure-blended it for us. We ate it too fast! But you can see a video of the process on their Facebook page.

Yet another reason to try out this fun shop is that they serve Counter Culture coffee. Preview the menu and definitely give this cute shop a shot. (Google Map)
