Pho 9n9

4 out of 5 stars

One of my recent discoveries has been Pho 9n9, located in a strip mall in Durham/RTP by the Sheetz at Miami and Alexander Boulevards. I have not had a lot of Vietnamese food in my life but I really enjoyed the filling meal I had there. The location is about halfway between two of our office locations in Durham and Morrisville, so it’s a good spot to meet coworkers at.

On the advice of a Karl F. from Foursquare, I ordered the grilled pork and egg roll over noodles (B6). Service was pretty fast and the portions are large. This particular dish, filled with crispy tender pork, tons of noodles, and arranged on a bed of cilantro, cucumber and lettuce, was quite satisfying. It was fun to layer on the different sauces like hoisin and sriracha and experiment.

T-Dubs ordered the “Broken Rice” plate, which comes with pork, eggs, and an egg cake over rice. We all enjoyed our meals and managed to put down a lot of food. You can view the menu on their website.

Pho 9n9 also has $3 Banh Mi sandwiches, which are cheap and look like a good thing to order (maybe 2) and pick up to go.. They of course have pho, which I haven’t tried yet. For more food pictures and info, check out Carpe Durham’s review.

  • The Banh Mi was the most awesome part of our meal there, so definitely give it a try sometime! I wasn’t that impressed with the pho when I reviewed it, but the bahn mi? Oh yeah.

  • I can’t wait to go back and try more items. The prices are quite reasonable too.

  • 9n9 is a favorite among my co-workers. The Bahn Mi is very legit.
