Date Nut Bars

2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar (approx.)
  1. Mix all ingredients, then bake in greased layer cake pans or square pans at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
  2. Cool for 15 minutes, then slice into squares and roll bars in confectioner's sugar so they don't stick together when stored.
