Relish has come to be a standby for our family, and a lot of other local folks too, given how busy it seems to constantly be. With good reason; the salads are fresh and huge, the drinks and local beer are great and patio is sunny. We like to come here for dinner or lunch fairly often.

Here are some of my favorite items on the menu:

• Fried Black Eyed Peas
• Carolina “Shines”
• Citrus Dill Shrimp Salad (Or any salad)
• Homemade Tomato Basil Soup
• Shrimp Burger

The banana pudding seems to be a favorite and I’ve also heard the Nutty Burger is amazing, but I’ve so far managed not to try them. A lot of people like the mac and cheese, I have tended to be happier with my choices here when I’ve stuck to salads, sandwiches and soups. We’ve been twice or more for breakfast and have felt the food was too heavy and didn’t enjoy it. But when I stick to my favorites, I’m always happy, and the service is consistently good as well.
