Bad service, overpriced fish
This place has an amazing selection of rolls and a unique pictorial menu. They also have a camera set up watching the sushi bar area so that guests can watch their fish being prepared, which is a neat idea. Unfortunately, Kyoto has high prices, and the servers' attitudes match this pretentiousness. Service can vary by the staff who are assigned to you, so I shouldn't say much more about that. I was here for lunch and it was relatively empty, but we still couldn't get our waitress's attention because she was flirting with the sushi chef.
This is a good place to meet people for sushi late night because you can sit outdoors and people-watch. Other than that, I avoid it.
