Ellie’s 50’s Diner
2/5 stars
I have been to Ellie’s twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. On both occasions the food was mediocre and the service was average or worse. The décor is neat, and the place is large. They can accommodate banquets and large groups in their dining hall in the back. The menu consists of a number of traditional choices, all with clever names reflecting the diner’s 50’s nostalgia. But it doesn’t matter how clever the name or creative the touches when the food just does not taste very good. They have a good idea by including some fresh fruit with breakfast, but the fruit that we had was half over-ripe and half under-ripe. Prices here are low but they aren’t incentive for me to come back here.
