Bagel Twins

3 out of 5 stars

Best Corned Beef, Bad Service

Bagel Twins is an institution for the local aged, which is probably why the service is so bad. The waitresses are not happy to be there, and on every occasion I have been to this place a waitress gets into some sort of argument with an elderly customer demanding some sort of special substitution or check-splitting. The owner is always on hand but doesn't help quell the commotion.

To find Bagel Twins you have to meander into a unpromising-looking medical plaza near the Wal-Mart. If you're willing to wait the long time it takes to get your bagel, fish platter, or homemade corned beef hash, it is worth it. The corned beef hash is the best I've ever had, and the serving for that particular breakfast is huge. You get your choice of bagel, bialy, or toast with most breakfasts, which are freshly toasted. For those that like smoked fish, they have a big selection, as well as other types of jewish fare, and good specials.
