Washington Duke Inn

I was invited to attend the Spring Blogger’s lunch at Washington Duke’s Fairview Room not too long ago, to unveil the new spring menu. It was a great opportunity to not only munch on some amazing food, but also to spend some time with my fellow foodies.

I have taken some time before writing anything about this because 1) it was free, so it’s harder for me to be objective and 2) I am waaaay behind on posts!

Rather than describe each dish in detail I’ll let you check out the amazing pictures here. In a nutshell, each and every morsel I ate was fantastic, from the tuna tartare to the tender lamb chop and the spectacular mini desserts. Despite the price, I would venture to say that the Fairview Room would be an excellent place for a fancy dinner or brunch. I have also heard that they have a fantastic afternoon tea that is reasonably priced.

The weather is finally perfect for sitting outside and dining on the patio, so take advantage and head over there soon! For more tempting photos and descriptions, visit some of my buddies’ blogs, the Gourmez, GreenEatsBlog and Eat It NC.
