Great site.

I was not impressed with the Pit.....one of my favorite places in the Triangle is Bullock's.. Down east it is hard to go wrong with Wilburs or Parkers. Some people swear by Bills and Kings.

Barbeque means different things in different parts of the country. On the south side of Chicago, if you say "barbeque" you mean "grilled" or "slow smoked" style cooking. Porkwise, ribs are king in Chicago, with Carson's ribs being such a huge favorite, they deliver like pizza to your home all over town. In the summer, stop at practically any redlight and wave a five dollar bill. A man will run over from his smoker and "lay it on you." Usually you get one of two things for your fiver, "slow smoked chicken" (no sauce) and a piece of bread wrapped in foil. OR "slow smoked" ribs (usually with spicey sauce) and a piece of bread. I can't wait for summer to roll around and the smokers hit the streets... smells like summer all over Chicago. Now that's barbeque to this yankee!
