Foodie Newsies for 3/28
The new Hibernian is open in North Raleigh on Falls of Neuse! (thanks, @trianglefoodguy).
Late March or early April, The Parlour Ice Cream Truck opens their new brick and mortar location at 117 Market St.
3/28 French wine tasting at BottleMixx in North Raleigh (4 pours for $10) 5-8pm
3/29 Durham Spring Arts Festival w Food Trucks and Jazz at the Arts Annex 3-6pm
3/30 Food Truck Rodeo at Fairview Gardens in Raleigh from 11:30am-2:30pm.
I might pin some of my garden inspirations before heading over. Plus get yourself a coupon when you buy food from one of the food trucks on the day-of.
3/30 Wine Tasting and some snacks at BottleMixx, 12-4pm (+ 15% case discounts)
3/31 Easter Brunches! Look at lots of options at Raleighbrunch.com. Having just tried the Fairview Room’s new Spring menu, they would be one of my top picks for an Easter Brunch, if you’re willing to pay for the best. You can see some of the food that’s been spotted there at Foodspotting.
4/3 Tri-Food Beer Meetup at BottleMixx featuring Fullsteam Beer 6-8pm
4/6 Rock and Shop Market in Durham (and food trucks too)
4/25 Raw Foods Popup Restaurant – Tickets available now for $35 pp.
I visited The Parlour’s new bricks-and-mortar location last week — Vietnamese Coffee with vegan Thin Mints was a great combo, as was my girlfriend’s Salted Caramel with hot fudge. I’d never have guessed the vegan Thin Mints topping option was vegan if I hadn’t seen the menu.
