Dada: Artsy place with an artsy crowd
Dada has a number of things going for it: inventive food that follows through on taste, unique indoor and outdoor atmosphere, location, and a funky crowd at all hours. And a few downers: prices, pretension, cramped tables.
As a restaurant Dada is moderately expensive and the food is suprisingly good. You should find discounts if you search in the paper or southfloridadines.com . As a bar, Dada's strengths are atmosphere, location, and its funky crowd (sometimes pretentiously arty, though). The drinks are pricey but Dada has a number of free Poetry Slams and band performances to keep things entertaining. Sometimes they also have movies playing in the back room. If you don't mind pricey drinks but feel like a fancy martini, give them a shot. You might hear a neat band in the process.
